FINAL REFLECTION

In my first post I didn’t use expressions or connecters to make the text look like one united thing. Also I repeat myself a lot, using the same expressions one time and another. Now I changed, I think. In my compositions I use more vocabulary and expressions more complex, using phrasal verbs. Perhaps it is true that I have stuck on a single topic but those issues seem more interesting and easier to make. I have tried to solve these in last few months with new publications that have nothing to do with movies or series.

In my first oral presentation I was very nervous and I thought that making it with a friend would make it easier, I was wrong. I was so nervous that my hands were shaking, I can’t stop them I’m very shy to speak in front of a group more or less big of people. And the worst thing is that I did it pity, to vary, and the note of my colleague goes down because my fault.

The best presentation that I made in English is also the same one in Spanish, the one of the research project. Maybe it's because I spent a lot of time preparing both work and presentation. From my perspective I did pretty well, but the worst part is that I forgot to bring the presentation in English and I did it with the version in Spanish. And if I hadn’t perhaps the note would have been an eight but in the end was a five. I did not realize that I have a tic in presentations and is that I move feet very rare.

To summarize, I have improved my English is these last years but I think it is because I have seen movies and series in English for over four years and the effects are beginning to see now, a little late for my taste. It's been a inmemorables years but wouldn't repeat it for any amount of gold in the world.

Formal letter

Dear Barack Obama,

I am writing to complain about human rights. Yesterday I was working on the street and I saw a man asking for charity because he hadn’t money.

The problem nowadays are that lot of people are homeless they are supposed have the right to have a home. The moment I saw these homeless I thought that there are changes that need to be done. My family have never been poor that is why, this fact impacts me harder.

Firstly, I would like to point out that is unacceptable that there are homes right for everyone while there are still people that have not a job nor house or money to pay their deps. Secondly there are people that have a lot of money but they do not enjoy their do not enjoy their lives as other persons without money would do.

To sum up, I very much hope that you look into this matter so that in the future most people would have a better live. Moreover, as this problem grows day by day, I am sure you will agree that you should do something against it.

Are the posters an art form, or maybe an adverting tool? Nowadays are the posters still useful? I answer this questions and more in my research project, studying the history of posters, learning the process of creation of a poster and their characteristics analyzing the work of a great artist Joan Brossa. And at the end, I made my own poster promoting the celebrations of la Candelera.

Madame tussauds

It is the most incredible wax museum I've seen (because it is the first). I had long wanted to go to a wax museum but Madrid is a pelin... shabby. And there was also an exhibition of Star Wars, but paying more but we slipped and it was awesome.

The museum of science and technology

An unforgettable place was the museum of science and technology, the technology was even more bland but pretty cool, I most incredible? They were free. If This we propose to do in Spain and you laugh in the face

What surprised me most was London culture change. For example in museums if you want a brochure there is the price next to they but you could get one without paying. it's more like a donation

Dialogue

One day in a waiting room on a surgery department, two clients are wating for their plastic surgery. To break the ice, one man said...

A: Hello, what do you want to change about your body ?
B: I don't like my chin, i just want to make it bigger and more attractive.
A: Oh, that's sounds great!
B: And you? What don't you like of your body?
A: I want to make my nose thiner, it's too wide and large.
B: My sister has made that surgery too, but it went wrong and it didn't end up very well and she looks worse now.
A: Oh, what a shame, I hope it doesn't happens to me.
B: My friends don't agree about doing this surgery, they say that my chin is already good now, but when I look myself at the mirror I just want to change it.
A: It happens to me too, but it's true that surgery sometimes make poeple look worse. Maybe we should think about it one more time about doing plastic surgery.
B: Yes, maybe you're right. A lot of famous poeple look uglier after the plastic surgery. Also, it costs a lot of money and painful times, so I think it isn't woth it.
A: Do you think we should go and don't make our surgery?
B: Yes, of course, we must accept how we are, what makes us special and stop looking the extern beauty. Measures, etc. are only numbers.
A: You're right! I think you're one of the most reasonable person I've ever met.
B: OK, let's go. Let's admit how we are and ignore what other people think about, everyone has defects and beauty, inside or outside, noone is perfect.
A: I agree with you completely.

Presentation

Although in this presentation I have a 5, in my opinion and with my point of view it was the best presentation that I ever did.

I know that while the presentation I made some tics and some mistakes too but even those things I continue thinking that my presentation was quite good. The only reason because I had a 5 it’s that I forgot my presentation (well the USB) at home, luckily I still had the USB with the presentation of the TDR that was the week before, but with one objection, it was in Spanish.

Summarizing I made a presentation of my research project of the English class with the power point in Spanish.

Youtube fun

In he video Sergi Soufyane and me are presenting the Youtube Fun, in our presentation we talk about the viral videos. The presentation should be 15 minutes long, 5 for each person. In it I can improve my pronunciation fluency and in front of more than 20 people my nerve more.

I’m too shy that’s the biggest problem, I can’t, some people has fear of height and I’m fear to talk in front of people, last year I was so nervous that I preferred to do the presentation suspend.

Is humour necessry

It is well-known that humour affects us giving lots of benefits although can it make a diference? Most people think that laughter is good for our heath becouse they had heard a doctor or on the TV and I could be included in this group.

At first, laughter makes our lives easier and as a social animal that is humans, laughing makes stronger that links between us, or breake the ice.

Secondly, it makes you feel better in your wort moments and help other people.

Finally humour makes our lives funnier, what would we do without laughs and jokes? It would be a so boring world.
To sum up, humour is a very inportant issue in our lives and personaly I can't imagine a world without humour.
